Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)

• Monitor and record vital signs as needed

• Lift and transfer individuals who require assistance with mobility

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

• Drive individuals to appointments, outings, or other activities as required

• Maintain a clean and organized living space for individuals under your care

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in direct support or caregiving roles is preferred but not required

• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as needed

• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with individuals with disabilities

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record and chauffeur license

The Supported Community Living (SCL) program is designed to support and encourage individuals to live as independently as possible in their own homes. The job could involve assisting someone at home with cooking, cleaning, and other forms of household management. Alternatively, it could mean assisting individuals in a college class, going on vacation, attending community events, shopping, or getting exercise. You will also be working in the Group Respite Program 1-2 afternoons a week. If you love working with kiddos...you will LOVE Respite.

Hours of Work: Hours vary depending on member needs during the days time hours of Monday-Friday. Required to work rotating 9th weekend as well.

Looking for a caring staff with a positive attitude to provide supervision and skill development to individuals working in the community, maintaining their employment. Must be willing to meet all requirements of employment including completing necessary training and meetings. This person must complete the APSE training and CESP Exam within the first year of hire.
